CBS Headquarters
Tradition, Americas, Consulting
The dark granite columns dominate the exterior of the CBS building lending to it’s nickname, “Black Rock”. Over 215,000 square feet of Canadian Black Granite was used to cover the exterior and it was the first use of the flamed and waterjet honed finish for granite. Malcolm Swenson was instrumental in developing this finish for the Project. It was also the first use of stone-faced precast concrete.
